 Sword is a weapon that is long and slim-edged metallic strip. It is a well known weapon that is in use since ancient civilizations. It has been primarily used for cutting, thrusting or for clubbing animals or enemies. Discussing its parts, a sword is made up of a blade and a hilt. Swords have a single edge as well as a double edge along with a tip that meant for thrusting with force. The basic structure and the constitution of sword has somewhat remained same since ages but its use and techniques have always been diverse.


This diversity can be seen in swords in the form of their hilt designs, the sharpness and the devising of their blades. In contrast to several other weapons, which are used for several purposes, the sword has always been known as a military weapon. It symbolizes warfare, power and combat in various cultures and communities. They have been discussed with great pride and conceit in History, literature, and mythology. This high-prestige weapon is considered a prized possession of soldiers and ancient militia.
